We do! Aegean Pools will be open Friday until 6pm. We will be closed Saturday due to the forcasted major snow storm. We will reopen Monday at 9am.
Please be safe during and after the storm.
DON'T BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD!
Temperatures will be dropping into the teens tonight so make sure your filter system is running. If you have a two speed or variable speed motor make sure you run them at high speed. Running a pump at low speed when the temperatures are in the teens may not move the water fast enough to keep the lines from freezing.
Also, if you have a Polaris automatic pool cleaner with a booster pump be sure to turn the booster pump on as well. With temperatures in the teens the water in the pipes going to and from the booster pump will move to slowly without the booster pump running and the pipes will freeze. If this should happen you may end up with frozen pipes and a damaged booster pump. So be sure to turn the booster pump on and run it until the air temperatures are back above freezing again.
GET THE SNOW OFF YOUR COVER!
This snow storm is expected to produce 8" to 12" of a wet heavy snow. If you have a safety cover this type of snow can cause damage to the safety cover. When it is safe to do so, be sure to remove the snow from the cover with a brush.
DON'T LEAVE YOUR COVER PUMP OUT DURING THE STORM
We recommend that you remove the automatic cover pump from the cover while the temperatures are below freezing. The cover pump is not designed to be covered in snow and frozen and leaving the cover pump on the cover may damage the pump. Be sure to unplug the pump and store it inside away from the weather until temperatures rise above freezing.
