We chose Aegean for a number of reasons. First of  all, we interviewed several people who had had pools built, and everyone who had worked with Aegean had good things to say. In addition, of the pool companies we researched, Aegean had the best reputation.  Secondly, we were dealing with the CBPA, and Aegean was well-versed in  what needed to happen for us to pass that inspection. We also  appreciated that Aegean had a specialist for each step of the  pool-building process. That helped instill confidence that the best  people were doing their respective best with regard to our pool. We  also liked that the process was done in a quick but professional manner. We were swimming a mere two-tothree weeks after the pool was dug. We have appreciated Aegean's responsiveness to problems that we have had  with our pump this year. They were quick to come out and honor the  warranty. We would recommend Aegean and only Aegean for pool-building!

Judi and I are very happy with both the final product and the professionalism displayed during the entire evolution.  Near the end of the pool construction, water had been added and the next step was to pour concrete, we suffered a setback when a tree fell into the pool. During the repairs, my wife asked one of your personnel how things were looking, and she got a sarcastic answer back, "It looks like a tree fell in the pool." This was the only blemish on an otherwise highly professional team. While the comment may have been intended to be funny, it brought a feeling that Aegean was becoming a sub-par contractor that fell into the same catagory as our landscape and fence contractors. Fortunately, that wasn't the case and this is the last time we will ever mention this incident.  As stated, we would highly recommend Aegean to our friends and neighbors.

"Quality You Deserve." That's the tag-line you see over and over on Aegean's  trucks, shirts, and folders. My wife and I started thinking about this  endeavor last summer. At 46, I have learned that "you get what you pay  for" and we wanted a quality company. Aegean's name came up over and  over, and Ron Williams was recommended personally by a friend of mine.  One of the things my wife and I really liked about Ron Williams was that he listened. My wife and I loved the software that took actual  renderings of our backyard and showed us what various pools would look  like. We went to the Home-A-Rama in Chesapeake to see their pools. We  met with Ron Williams and he designed a beautiful pool for our backyard. And I mean this pool is beautiful! They cut a template so we could  place it where we wanted in the yard, and prepped the ground by pumping  ground water for close to two months so the pool would be structurally sound.  Once construction actually began, Ron Williams turned his duties over to the construction supervisor, Ron Palmer, who  checked in every evening. I have been involved with a number of  construction projects over the years, and what I find is that when you  get down to the last 10% of the job, that's when you really find out how good a company is. Aegean is amazing...... This is a premier pool. I wanted a pool company that was not "fly by night" and would be around when I needed  them in the future. How many times have you heard of a homeowner  putting in a pool, probably getting a low bid, having an issue, and then the company is gone. Again, you get what you pay for, and if you are  building a pool in Hampton Roads, stop at Aegean. Did we have some  bumps along the way? Yes. Did Aegean work with us to rectify them.  Yes. Someone at Aegean has learned the art of customer service. And  building a pool properly is not a five week job. It takes time to do  the job correctly. You want someone who listens, someone who is  qualified, and someone who knows what they are doing. You want the men  and women of Aegean. I  would say the only complaint and this is minor for me but might not be  for someone else was the schedule of payments. I didn't have a schedule of payments from the beginning and that would have been helpful. I  figured, for example when they began excavating they would need a large  payment. Those aren't a problem for us, but a clearer timetable would  have been helpful. But this is an awesome pool, and I have nothing but  amazing things to say about your company...

I can't say enough good things about all of your crews; they were all very professional and came in and knocked out their work in a timely manner. also the care and passion they put into their work really showed; from the initial dig to the concrete, it was like our pool was built by artists of their craft. it was truly amazing to watch and I was left with no reservations or concerns about the quality or construction of our pool. My only comment for improvement, which is minuscule, is I wish they would have used decal labels for the piping at the pump and filter. It was labeled with sharpie marker which has already started to fade and I have rewritten. This would have been a nice, long-lasting, professional touch.

Everyone we've dealt with from beginning to end has been friendly and knowledgeable. From day one every specialized team has been great to work with. It's nice to see a large company be so hands on and caring. I was especially impressed with the concern shown before and after hurricane Irene as we were still under construction. We were called with specific things to do and watch out for during the hurricane and a couple of guys came by the day after to check on the pool and make sure everything was OK. I come home for lunch every day and I can't remember how many times some of the staff dropped by just to make sure everything was coming along well. That's amazing service. The only delays experienced were related to weather. We have only been able to use the pool a few times as it went in at the end of the season but it is great and I'm sure we will be in there every day next year.

It seemed  that every crew that came out, whether it was the initial dig, the wall  construction, the concrete pool floor and walls, etc., was excellent and very polite, responsive and professional. Both have been  exceedingly kind and patient as we have had to muddle our way through  issues with getting the water chemistry just right. It is very hard to single out one person or crew because everyone did  their jobs well and they all worked together as a team. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant, professional and courteous.  Linda walked  us through the process of deciding what we wanted and could afford - she certainly knows pools and people.  Ron kept us informed at every step  along the construction process, leaving nothing to our imagination  thankfully and he helped us stay on schedule with the "out-of-town"  company that came afterwards to build our screened-in enclosure. We  were away from the house during most of the excavation due to my husband being hospitalized, but that crew did an extraordinary job and I took  pictures to show my husband the progress each day.  Jeff helped us plan  the concrete decking and Mark made that happen with a crew that gave so  much attention to detail that the company who built our enclosure on top of the concrete deck commented about the excellent deck and how it made their job that much easier.  The crew that cleaned the pool after the deck was poured went out of their way to clean up drips and splashes including some that got on our siding and windows. The  grading crew took care to grade not only the area immediately around the pool but also the path through our yard where the trucks traveled. 
Betty and Amanda were always so helpful on the phone to get me to the  right person whenever I called.  Matt and Brian worked diligently with  me to get the water chemistry right and that was no small chore due to  our well water being so soft.  ... our experience with the Aegean Team and  to thank you for a JOB WELL DONE. All that is left now is for the pool  to be winterized and the safety cover to be delivered and installed. We are most confident this part of the project will be as great of an experience as all of the rest. We are looking forward to an EARLY  spring and actually being able to use this gorgeous pool with our family and friends.

I was updated nightly by Ron Palmer as to what to expect next and when they would be here. I can't begin to say enough about each crew and their team. They were always here on the day scheduled and on time. Every person was courteous and pleasant to work with. I had a very tight space in my yard to work in and was worried about it. I am terrible with names but the gentleman that 
did the excavation was top notch. He was sandwiched between my house and garage so it took great skill to do this. It was amazing to watch him. Right after the walls went up we had the huge 10 inch rain. The perfect hole in the ground was washed out. Because the pool is very close t o structures they were in danger of being compromised and my entire yard was a total mess to say the least. Water had filled the pool walls halfway. The crew was here the next day and by the end of the day they had the mess cleaned up as well as digging out again. Even with the disaster all work stayed on schedule. Again I can't say enough about each person that entered the job. If any of them were having a bad day you would never know it, as they always had a smile and friendly words. In addition to that their work was exceptional on every level. I have heard stories about having a pool installed, but this was a completely painless and easy experience.  The pool and beautiful stamped concrete is what I hoped for and more! Thank you Danny for saving my brick! I also want to send a special thank you to all involved in making this process so much easier during the difficult time I was going through.

The concrete that we asked for was done in two days and Jeff and Danny worked to ensure all drainage issues were resolved. Dany eve n stopped on a Sunday to ensure the job would be ready for the next day on Monday. We have had so many compliments from other contractors working at our home about the entire transformation of our backyard and family and friends are amazed at the work done.
